The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 挺合格的爆米花，古往今来对女杀手的刻画无非是那一套，家破人亡，被人收留，复仇成长。越南的景色很美，反派甚至死得不明不白，如果车上代替他被炸飞的是他儿子还能勉强有点看头。但是姐姐真的好美，long live Nikita！
演员都是好演员，剧情就是差那么一口气。整个故事有种非真实感，细细一想甚至觉得就是后殖民时代的一场梦。人物虽然有冲突，但是都很“标准”，甚至“理想化”。
老派到像是小時候看的動作大片，沒想到今天還看到，然後男角們都70了，真的是辛苦了。

女生一直是悲情的，从小的灭门到之后的再次被“灭门”。在越南的那个破败的公寓里，她先后两次杀死了想侵入她身体的男人。
灭全家的时候为什麼留着小女孩？小女孩什么脑袋一看就会组合枪支？报仇期间和杀手真枪实炮干的很欢，然后再毙了对方？黑人到低在干什么？莫名其妙的死而复生与大佬同归于尽，以色列特请16人未出面就死了？故剧情乐色！李美琪动作表演3分！
感觉是个复仇的故事，到拍的零零散散，讲的乱七八糟的
后面黑大爷不话唠的话，不失为一部干净利落的动作片
剧情老实说没太老看明白，大概看得也没很认真，边玩手机边看，不过动作戏挺干脆，就是和炮友眉来眼去的不知道在干啥，Maggie Q都43了，还是很有魅力~
李美琪和迈克尔基顿的对手戏看着真是莫名其妙，迈克尔基顿演这个角色也太油腻了，明明应该是那种有风度，暴力与优雅共存的感觉，他现在这个形象实在太不合适了
什么破剧情，看Maggie Q和初代蝙蝠侠相爱相杀？？？骗人没去过岘港咩，越南第四大城市哪来那么多白皮鬼到处耀武扬威？？？
心理学说人类习惯选择后面的选项，所以kill me or fuck me就上床了，如果说的是fuck me or kill me，估计就没有然后了
故事非常失望。
男主为什么找老头？？难怪女主最后杀了他。气死老娘了嘤嘤嘤嘤嘤！
杀完人在人家家里翻云覆雨，多少是有点大冰。（不是因为这段给一星，单纯是因为剧情好无趣
为我喜欢的nikita再多一星/喜欢niki的打戏！
非常一般，但又比《凯特》好点，但总体上就是两个字：平庸。
