The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 就是把哈姆雷特改编成北欧版，加上光膀子猛男互殴，爱情戏可以跳过
本片试图还原北欧的巫术与祭祀文化以打造本片的史诗感，但过度放大面孔的特写镜头与游戏CG式的打斗与战争场面却使本片显得廉价且失真
特别特别好的一部院线电影，导演对主流观众做了一小部份的妥协，但是仍然保持了极具个人风格化的镜头语言和摄影。剧情非常平铺直叙，如果导演拥有最后剪辑权的话可能会把每一个章节的故事剪的更细碎繁复一些。最后的决斗拍的太好了。it's OK you don't like the film, but at least you should appreciate it. 用电影方式来呈现的一篇北欧萨迦。原来莎剧《哈姆雷特》对原著中的维京民族风做了巨大的删减。
太舞台剧了，不太喜欢这种莎翁一样的台词和这种寓言一样的剧情的，但是拍的真的不错，很喜欢这种舞台剧放到电影里面的表现力
这部电影像极了《埃及艳后》，各个零件都精美绝伦但组装到一起大概就是个华丽的废物，因为华丽多加了一颗星，跟玩《刺客信条英灵殿》的感觉如出一辙。
