The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 很典型的爱情轻喜剧，很久没看这样的片子了。剧情也很典型，看似死对头，其实互有好感，还是竞争对手，最后团团圆圆。但是男主有些莫名其妙，几次突然转身有些不可理解，一句都是以前被人一夜情也没说服力。

故事创意不错，有新意。驱魔仪式有点俗套，少许剧情bug。值得一看。
这个狗导演，每个吓人的点全是用的jump scared，每次都要看的一惊一乍，不会吓人就不要拍恐怖片好了，真的想骂脏话
创意这块给五星，点子很多好好拍多个半小时能更好，逻辑也说的通，不同于其他驱魔片，很不错，看出诚意，结局也是没有想到，一念上帝，一念魔鬼.

不错的 一直害怕后面会崩 但还维持的挺不错 是那种会推荐给别人看的爱情轻喜剧 适合在放松休息时想看个恋爱片的情景看 6、7分吧 尤其在我看了好几部爱情烂片之后 这片真的感觉不错 编剧编的误会冲突等等都还算合理 除了没屋子必须住一间这个梗偶像剧里哈哈真的太常见了 台词也还不错 欢喜冤家虽然老套但用点心编还是会让人百看不厌 男女主身高差和打嘴炮火花十足啊 达西真的是完美伴侣啊 又被cue到了 男主演绎的这个强迫症性格加上他的身材 显得他很hot
结尾：神和鬼各自带上美瞳～完结撒花～
硬是把驱魔片拍成了丧尸片。全片最精彩的地方就在于最后的驱魔part，居然是魔鬼驱上帝。
No.2413 比较常规的职场爱情喜剧。男主的身材挺好的，也想看看正面的尺寸，哈哈哈。

男女主一会儿像仇人，一会儿又互相勾引，莫名其妙，最后还是在一起了。女主穿着紧身裤时屁股好像还挺翘。
