The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 剧情一般，很多大场景缺乏细节。但两人的感情和西班牙的异域风情足以隐藏许多缺点。在这个不能自由流动的时节看，更加珍贵。

制作太缺钱了，故事一般吧，而且我真的很好奇副线cp
叙述设计颇有意思的 老人放牧与探险队洞穴考察 两条线索以最基础的平行剪辑交替 从看似无关到中段山洞交汇 之后随着进入洞穴的深度老人生病越来越重交替剪辑间隙越来越短直至到达洞穴尽头老人也最终咽气。但由于把探险引入自然影像也带了一个前作没有的问题：拍探险时镜头能先于人物吗？这个问题可以说是致命的 每每先于行动进入洞穴更深处的摄影机消灭了探险的所有意义 而这与作者试图让摄影机作为客观之眼的企图完全冲突 这一悖论恰恰指出了客观摄影机这个构想的虚妄。不过 在教堂休整睡在受难jesu身边的镜头堪比四次里面突然进村捉jesu的罗马士兵 有如神降。还有就是那些大远景真的很棒！踢球和牛闻画也是神来之笔

整体感觉是完成度不错的命题作文，弗朗明戈代表相互之间的成长，情感到位了。
依然是甜度爆表 但是船戏差点意思 都放去跳舞和表白了
制作确实不太精良，动作有点僵硬不太连贯，然后不知道一闪而过的副cp出现在这电影里是为了啥。但是准太和高人的感情戏处理得很好，更相爱了呢！
看完了，没有黑线感觉我看起来更顺眼了，哈哈哈，我真的觉得他们呈现出来的恋爱很舒服，很正确。高人先生在看到准太的优秀时，第一个想到的是不能成为他的负担，他希望自己能够站在他身边为他分忧，所以努力的去成为更好的自己。片尾那段“为了我们能永远在一起，所以不能一直在一起，但我一定会回到你身边，你也是” 我真的很喜欢这种两个人都在努力成为更好的人的状态，爱不会成为枷锁，他让两个人都在变得幸福……准太从小时候就非常耀眼，他好像喜欢所有，又好像所有都不喜欢，他总觉得自己和周围的事物，周围的人隔着屏障，直到遇见高人先生。屏障破碎，所有的不安，占有欲，爱，他也拥有了浓烈的感情，就像一场救赎，漂泊的心找到归宿。。。
